Hadar Travel & Tours was founded in 1982 by Udi Gordon with the main office located in Los Altos, California - The heart of the Silicon Valley.

Udi, who has a BS in computer engineering and MS in computer science, came to California to be an engineer in the Silicon Valley. His love for his homeland and his ties to the family business in Israel (which is involved in the Israel Tours market) made him do less engineering work and more travel to Israel and the Holyland. Finally in 1985, Udi completely retired from engineering to concentrate fully on the travel business.

During the years Hadar Tours established itself as one of the leading travel agencies for the Israel/Holyland market in the west coast. Our commitment to good service, our strive to provide our clients with the best values of any tour, and our good management, help us maintain our leadership to this destination between the travel agencies in the West Coast.

In 1996, Hadar entered into a partnership with Journeys Unlimited, one of the leading tour companies in the Christian tour market, which is based in New York. With the intention of promoting Journeys Unlimited Church Group Packages in the West Coast. This partnership is operated under the name of Hadar Inc. DBA Journey Unlimited West and already arranged pilgrimage and spiritual tours for thousands of individuals and their spiritual leaders.

In 1999 Hadar entered into partnership with Creative Arts who specialized in youth and school groups, choirs, musical and theatre tours. This partnership is operated under the name of Hadar Inc. DBA Journeys In The Arts.

In 2000, Journeys Unlimited was sold and the partnership between Hadar and Journeys was dissolved. Hadar continued to operate in the Christian market under the new name of International Christian Journeys.
